The Resource Centre
“Koi keeping is a marathon not a sprint! It’s also a journey where Knowledge is important but understanding is the key” … Paul White
Koi Keeping is a challenging hobby. There is little simple or uncomplicated about it, and information generally available can often be complicated and contradictory. The purpose of the Oaks Koi Farm web site Resource Centre is to clarify what’s really important to real Koi Keepers, to highlight key elements and to provide you real information, all of it gained the hard way, by actually doing it, and also by often getting it wrong… all so you can get it right!
There is a lot to take in so don’t try and absorb it all at once. The information is also designed to be a reference resource that you can refer to as and when you need it, and dip into when you have time. Perhaps most importantly it’s designed and created to help you, over time, increase not just your own knowledge, but also understanding of this fantastic hobby!
The Resource Centre will give you information on many aspects of the hobby, also how to’s, and fantastic products that make our hobby easier, and enrich the pond, and your Koi with life.
Our VIP Members get access to a different pricing scheme, offering discounts across our range of goods, a loyalty points programme, exclusive member only offers, one off deals, and a whole host of extra goodies, and not forgetting special prices on our Koi, and privileged access to Koi in Japan.
Now back to the Resource Centre, this was the brainchild of myself and Nigel Caddock, the author of many of the well known books and magazines within the Koi industry. A lot of you will recognise that name, and will have certainly read some of his publications.
As time goes on we will be adding more information to the Resource Centre, expanding on certain topics, which we feel are massively important to further everyones knowledge, so be sure to keep checking in.
Nigel was a massive influence in producing the content for The Resource Centre, so I thought it would be very fitting to add an acknowledgement to the great man………
