The Oaks Koi Farm Wheatgerm Food

Wheatgerm is a professional Koi feed consisting of highly digestible fish and vegetable proteins, also grains to promote optimal digestion fortified with a pre-biotic and pro-biotic.

The Wheatgerm content is high making this food easily digestible, and it excels at low temperatures.

This Wheatgerm is enhanced with a pre-biotic and pro-biotic to support the intestinal flora. The pre-biotic, a fructo-oligosaccharide, acts as a food source for the positive gut bacteria that are essential for an optimal nutrient absorption and disease resistance. The pro-biotic, live positive bacteria , included in wheat germ acts as the Koi’s own positive bacteria and helps to consolidate a good gut health. This is especially useful after antibiotic treatments.

Wheatgerm is rich in natural vitamin E and Ω-6 and Ω-3 fatty acids all of which are essential to keep Koi healthy and lessens the chance of intestinal blockages or infections at low temperatures.

All our feeds offer low feed conversion ratio’s and are very water stable.

Wheatgerm is a floating food which enables the hobbyist to monitor the Koi’s behaviour and condition.

Feeding Instructions

• Feed when water temperatures are above 5°C.
• We recommend not feeding at all below 5°C.
• Only feed the amount that can be consumed within five minutes, and remove any uneaten food.
