Aerated Bottom Drains

These aerated bottom drains are the ones we use here at The Oaks, and what we recommend to use on all Koi ponds.

The bottom drains are manufactured from heavy duty PVC and can easily withstand the pressures of being installed underground.

They are constructed to include a large sump where the 4 inch water connection and the separate 1 inch air connections are located. It has a separate air connection to prevent any restriction in water flow. All connections are provided using pressure pipe, and we recommend using only this pipe underground.

Each bottom drain comes with either a 9 or 12 inch Gummi Jaegar diffuser. See options below.

If you are constructing a pond and using a liner we can supply a clamping ring and stainless steel screws to trap the liner to the bottom drain, and seal with strong aquatic sealant, also available below. Clamping ring available separate should you decide at a later date you changed your method of construction.

If you require a clamping ring and screws please select the option for liner below, the option for concrete assumes you are fibreglassing or using pond paint.

Another great feature of these bottom drains is the fact that should (even though highly unlikely) the drain become blocked, the diffuser simply unscrews and access to the drain, to rod it is possible.

Should you require a bottom drain with a smaller outlet size, these can be manufactured especially for you, or a reducing bush can be used.
