Construction Skimmer

These Construction Skimmers are “In Wall Skimmers” the ones we generally fit on all our bigger ponds.

There are several variations of this skimmer, the standard model which is the most common, seen and priced here, or one can be tailor made to suit the individuals requirement.

The body of the skimmer is designed so that it fits into a standard 9 inch pond wall construction, and replaces two blocks. It is best bedded on mortar to get the correct height required, likewise mortar sealed either side.

The skimmer has a removable catchment basket that catches all leaves and pond debris, then is easily removed to clean. It comes complete with a lid, and the front grill is reversible to cope with different pond water levels.

Another great thing about this skimmer is that it can be used in a fibreglass or liner finished pond.(see options below)

The liner finish means the skimmer will come with a front clamping plate and stainless steel screws.

Another addition to this skimmer is the controllable overflow pipe, this is something often overlooked in a Koi pond and only realised at the end of construction. The overflow is adjustable up and down so to fine tune the exact water level, and being located in the skimmer it’s out of sight and no need for another hole through the pond wall.

There are also various options of size on the outlet pipe. If you want to run a Bakki Shower and high volume flow from the skimmer, it maybe that you require a 4″ outlet, instead of the the standard 2″, but you can have it designed to suit your needs.

So to some up this skimmer does have a lot to offer, and it can be designed to your every need.

In the past we have had requests for a longer throat on the skimmer to fit through a stone wall, a bigger basket, a 4” outlet, just to mention a few. So if you require something a little different you’re best to ring us direct to discuss your needs.
