There are many Microscopes on the market today, from very cheap ones right through to very expensive ones. We aim to steer you in the right direction with the range that we offer.
Identifying parasites requires a good Microscope that has high quality mirrors and prisms on board. Cheap Microscopes are not an option and will be a complete waste of your money. However on the other hand there is no need to spend thousands either.
This range of Brunel Microscopes will offer the user value for money and great operation. There’s two Monocular (single eye vision) and one Binocular (both eye vision) that we offer.
Paul has been using a Monocular Microscope from Brunel for many many years, it is the earlier version of the SP22 seen above. There are lots of accessories associated with the Microscopes that can be purchased including eye cams, which project the image onto a computer screen, not necessary but some people use them and may find that method easier.
A Monocular Microscope suits most people unless your are doing hours of Microscopy work, where a Binocular Microscope might be a better choice. Using a Monoclar one for hours can strain the eye.
All our Microscopes offer a wide focus range, and come with a Fish Disease Kit which has a set of instructions including what to look for, some slides and cover slips, including pre prepared slides to train you to focus and use the Microscope, and some petrus dishes and associated equipment should you wish to take your learning to another level, like Bacteria cultures. So whichever you choose, it is guaranteed to do the job.
